The great thing about being in the moment, enjoying the process, is that the action will be only a fraction of your gains. You’ll mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually travel to new heights, more intriguing destinations and meet people you would never have thought possible.

Well said Thomas. We need to be in the moment to enjoy the process. The benefits of participating in the process can sometimes be greater than at the end. Thanks for the insightful comment.

Process oriented goals are also much more fulfilling than outcome oriented goals. If you want to lose weight for example, instead of saying you want to lose X lbs/kgs in a certain amount of time, just think of exercising X times a week or only eating out X times a month. Regardless of how much weight you lose, this will make you healthier.

You are right, starting a process oriented routine is so much easier. I have been struggling with weight loss. Will start a routine of weighting myself everyday and slowly fit in the rest. :p

“Forget about instant gratification. If you are too eager for results, you will be too prone to disappointment.“ And focus on finding meaning in doing.

I’ll keep that in mind.

Separating performance from satisfaction is a recurring lesson that I’m finding on my path. It must be a sign that I should learn to incorporate it!

Thanks for writing this.

I am glad my piece resonated with you Livio. I have to constantly remind myself of the path I have to keep to else I will get distracted.

When our satisfaction depends on outcomes, chances of disappointment are high.

On the contrary, we have full control on the output.

So, why not to focus on outputs? And find pleasure in what we do.

So that we can shift from destination mindset to journey mindset.

I will keep reminding this to myself too!
