What an inspiring story. Sometimes we just need someone who believes in us to be able to grow and change in significant ways. How beautiful that your dad and your housemate were those people, at just the right moments in your life, to help you alter your trajectory. I can tell in your articles that you embody your dad’s message.

I feel incredibly grateful to people who have given support at crucial moments in my life. They played an instrumental role in altering my trajectory and shaping the person I am today.

Most people will not take offence at a gentle request to ask them to refer you to others. It works in all businesses. Happy customers will refer, some without being asked, but most need a gentle nudge. Praising them for doing so works well.

Absolutely! You've hit the nail on the head Roland. People generally respond positively to gentle requests. It's true, many happy customers are more than willing and some might even do it without being prompted. But that gentle nudge can make a significant difference in encouraging more support.
