I have met many people who are lazy and sluggish. They would rather laze their days away, pinning hopes on their luck, than settle down to improve their abilities. As everyone knows, a moment of good luck may free you from mediocrity; but it can’t make you invincible forever. To gain a firm foothold in the torrent of times, one needs to develop his personal abilities.
When it comes to luck, there are indeed people who are born with great fortune. Whatever they do, they seem to be able to achieve, in a relatively short time, what the rest of the people would have to do for a lifetime. This is the harsh reality of life, but sadly, not everyone is born with such fortune. 99.9% of us have to slog our entire lives to achieve what those lucky few can achieve in a blink.
You can blame it on your fate, or you can waste your entire life complaining about unfairness. For the rest of us, Instead of spending time on useless pursuits, it is better to concentrate our energy on one direction and focus our ability on doing that one thing well.
