Work happens to be my escape.

The reason is I find personal relationships, be it, family or friends, have this tendency to weigh me down emotionally. It’s not like I can switch off whenever I want to, especially in the case of family members who are not doing well healthwise.

Fortunately, I have nature to give that much-needed relief from stress and anxiety. Recently, I find watching contrails in the sky strangely soothing.

Probably because it reminds me so much of my childhood.

I thought it would be a great idea to do a prompt collab about nature that will hopefully inspire everyone to restore, reconnect and recharge by being in the lap of nature.

So, I approached pockett dessert, a superbly talented creative, who kindly agreed to do the prompt collab.

So without further ado, I present Pockett D!

🍃June Life Prompt

Restoring inner balance during the winds of change

Surrender and flow — a sign on my desktop. A gale-force wind hurls dust and grime, then a strange crackling sound — before the power cut off.

In an instant, one can be uprooted. Knocked off balance.

Twenty feet away, a broken tree canopy swallows the backyard. Thankfully, everyone is safe. We gather to assist with clean-up. Remove the debris. Share fridges and freezers — acts of kindness for those left without.

A day passes, and two turns into three. It is easy to feel powerless when fear and frustration seep in. In protective mode, I close myself off from living life.

When the winds of life storm in, acceptance is key — surrender and go with the flow.

Being in nature keeps me open to receiving — all the good in life.

Time spent outdoors earthing reconnects me to inner calm. Bare feet on grass and hands in the soil — stress reducers for balance to reflow back into my life.

This June 1st is Go Barefoot Day — kick off your shoes! Reconnect with the earth and help a stranger.

Walking barefoot, known as “earthing,”
has gone from being a kooky and playful trend
to a scientifically researched practice
with remarkable health advantages,
such as increasing antioxidants,
reducing inflammation,
and improving sleep.
