Life is a Colouring Book
Leave a trail of colours in others' book and they will in turn make yours' a masterpiece.
Everyone sees life as a journey filled with ups and downs, twists and turns. But I see life as a colouring book, with every page a different phase representing the varied experiences, emotions, and memories that filled up that growing-up phase.
Each chapter of our lives is like a new page waiting for us to paint, and the colours we choose to use will shape the kind of story we tell. The hues of happiness, the shades of sadness, the bright strokes of joy, and the dark tones of despair - all combine to create a work of art that is uniquely our own.
As we journey through life, we encounter different people who come along and leave their mark on our book. Some friends are ignorant and leave behind empty pages, like how they made us feel lost and discouraged. Other friends are haphazard, causing smudges and smears in our colour book, like how they drove us to depression and dejection in life.
Yet, there are those rare few that leave behind exquisite pieces with pictures so vividly done that they transform our life into a work of art. These are special someone who cares about our life, and they bother to shine light and cast warmth into our otherwise miserable life.
Sometimes the colours blend and mix, creating new shades and hues we never imagined. Other times they clash, creating a jarring effect that is hard to ignore. But it is in these moments of contrast that the true beauty of our life is revealed.
