A Golden Ticket Towards Destiny
In response to Coffee Challenge: This is my weekly newsletter.

150 days of online writing and reading gave me a thousand reasons to write but not a single reason to not write
I can go on and on about why I took to writing and how tremendously helpful it has been for me but I will save you the repetition.
I may sound not-so-ideal, but I will let my honesty speak—
At this moment, I am entirely dependent on my writing to make myself a “living”. I do not have a full-time job and I am desperately looking for one, but until then I am secretly wishing my words kick off from the ground and soar high, pacing rapidly towards the universe and magically turning me into a shining star, gleaming with gratitude in elation.
Even as charming and appealing as it seems, I am well aware, I have a long way to go. All I am doing is simply hopping on the booster ride (on my way) that will help me reach where I want to be.
Ireland from the eyes of an immigrant — is my latest maneuver in my journey as a writer and here is why I started it:
I would be a fool if I let go of the experiences life is bestowing me with, without journalling them.
Ten years ago, I made a mistake.
That diary kept lying in my desk drawer for eleven months and not once, did I make the effort to fill its pages with my only once-in-a-lifetime experiences. I regret it.
[Context: Ten years ago, I was a sixteen-year-old girl from a small town in India who had won a full scholarship to spend a year abroad in the United States as a part of a high school cultural exchange program. It was a special year of my life and I was one among the 33 teenagers from India who had got this opportunity. It was a GREAT experience, literally]
Another set of amazing experiences have come my way and this time, I am determined not to repeat the same mistake.
I have recently relocated to another country, a beautiful piece of paradise called Ireland, only this time the freshness and cultural richness of a foreign land are coupled with the warm experiences of a new marriage.
My newsletter is dedicated to my everyday experiences of living in Ireland, as a young married woman.
One of the greatest perks of living in today’s time is that you have abundant resources at your disposal to make yourself big.
I want to be big—name, fame, money, popularity, and everything that comes with the conventional understanding of “success”.
I want to leave my mark in this world and the leader inside me affirms my ambitions, telling me, “I have in me what it takes to grow big and make a name for myself.”
Ireland from the eyes of an immigrant —is my much-awaited start towards that ambition.
I want to be a successful content influencer.
I want to be someone who is able to help lift others up. I want to share my stories with others so that they can relate to them and find comfort in my experiences. I want to encourage “expression” and use my words to create an impact.
My newsletter is dedicated to my stories of how I navigated through the challenges I am facing here as a new resident and what kind of perspectives helped me settle and feel at home in a new country.
After going back and forth on whether I should use my own images and the images captured by me, I have decided that I will be using a lot of pictures from my own phone gallery to support my writing.
My journey in Ireland has just begun and I am looking forward to making the most of my time here. In years to come, Ireland will soon be taking up a very special place in my heart. I will let you all in in a little secret.
The real reason behind dedicating my Substack newsletter to my life specific to Ireland is that it has a special connection with my ‘writing’.
It was here, in Ireland, where I started my writing journey
How crucial right!
Five months ago, I was not married but I was in the country visiting my fiance for a couple of months. It was in September when I joined Medium as a paid subscriber and started writing and reading on a regular basis. For the first time ever, it was in this very studio apartment (where I currently live), that I was introduced to the magical world of writing creative non-fiction stories and personal essays.
Writing online on a variety of topics gave me the creative space to explore my skills and gifted me a purpose to keep going.
No words can justify how huge of a deal it is.
Ireland from the eyes of an immigrant— amplifies the specialty of that connection and how much it means to me.
I hope you will join me in this endeavor and support me as you always have.
Here are my first 3 stories of Substack—
